Room 1309 in the Parren J. Mitchell Art-Sociology Building, this student-run exhibition space shows undergraduate and graduate work.

Alumnus Jim Henson and his Muppets creation, Kermit, chat on a bench outside the Stamp Student Union. Gift of class of 1998. Surrounded by the Henson Memorial Garden by landscape architect Philip Cho. Garden was the gift of classes of 1994 and 1999.

The University of Maryland granted author Katherine Anne Porter (1890-1980) an honorary degree in 1966. Porter gifted the university her papers and library, and a selection of memorabilia and historical furnishing from her D.C. home.
